Mortal Kombat: Legacy Clip Gives An Eye-Ful of Kano

Mortal Kombat: Legacy's production has kicked into high gear, and today we've got your first footage of the action!

Thanks to IGN, you can check out the below clip of Michael Jai White's Lieutenant Jax taking on (the mysteriously two-eyed Kano in an industrial setting, with plenty of weapons and fists flying between the two of them.

The ten-part web series sprang from director Kevin Tancharoen's concept trailer for Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, a gritty re-imagining of the franchise characters in a real-world police procedural setting.

The series, written by Tancharoen and Spartacus: Blood and Sand writers Todd and Aaron Helbing and starring Michael Jai White, Jeri Ryan and Ian Anthony Dale reprising their roles as Jax, Sonya Blade and Scorpion, respectively mainly follows Scorpion, tasked by Jax and Sonya enter the underground tournament and bring down Shang Tsung, amidst his own personal vendetta against Sub-Zero.

Your Highness is Like a Joint Rolled With Graph Paper

Your Highness is Like a Joint Rolled With Graph Paper

Your Highness may very well be the first film to take a Cheech and Chong-level love for getting stoned and place it square in the middle of a legitimate sword and sorcery quest. Wizards, maidens, unicorn swords, labyrinths and bloodshot-eye humor are packed firmly into a bowl, ignited, and, by some miracle of alchemy, transformed into something that is very funny and, by and large, exciting.

Danny McBride, further cementing himself as the slacker child of Bob Hope and Larry the Cable Guy, is the Kingdom's second prince to a noble, Errol Flynn-ish James Franco. Whilst Franco is off on a quest, McBride is sulking around the castle humiliating his manservant Courtney, played with wonderful "Kif"-ness by Rasmus Hardiker.

Go Sarlacc On These Buyable Star Wars Cakes

Go Sarlacc On These Buyable Star Wars Cakes

Charm City Cakes, best known for birthing Food Network celeb and star of Ace of Cakes Duff Goldman, just got semi-affordable with their new line, "Cakes for Two." Though spending $250 on a cake for two people is a little bit frightening, CCC assures you that the 8-inch, triple-layer cakes are actually made to feed fifteen. I would still like to argue that I could consume an 8-inch cake with the assistance of any one member of the UGO staff, but you've got to play to the norms when advertising.

The Cakes for Two come in thirty different designs, three of them wisely focusing on Star Wars. There's the Boba Fett cake pictured here, a similar model based on the Stormtrooper helmet, and a space combat scene featuring the Death Star, the Millennium Falcon, and what looks like it might be an X-Wing. Other designs include sharks, cat food tins, and sweet rides. They're available in tons of flavors, ranging from regular chocolate to curry caramel to something called beurre noisette, which most probably means noisy beer
